"Her Brush. . . . Her Story"
The Graham Gallery is proud to present Her Brush, Her Story, a new exhibition celebrating the creative voices of two accomplished women artists, Carol Shelton and Lucy Iannotti.
Each artist explores themes of resilience, memory, and personal narrative, inviting viewers to experience how individual journeys take shape on canvas. Shelton’s work reflects a nuanced sensitivity to color and form, often drawing inspiration from everyday moments imbued with emotion. Iannotti’s art, by contrast, plays with layers of texture and gesture, giving visual form to stories rooted in both the intimate and the universal. Together, their practices highlight the power of the painted mark as both a personal expression and a shared dialogue.
When visiting, look closely at how both Shelton and Iannotti use color, light, and narrative to evoke emotion and atmosphere, as well as the interplay between their different approaches to plein air and impressionistic painting. The show will offer both serenity and vibrancy, personal stories, and a celebration of expressive technique.
Her Brush, Her Story is more than an exhibition—it is a conversation between two artists whose distinct voices resonate in harmony, affirming the presence and impact of women in the contemporary art landscape.
